Wike Opens Up On Why He Is Angry With Atiku

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State on Thursday revealed the root of his rift with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and the Party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.
The former presidential aspirant while commissioning a project in the state claimed Atiku had after winning the party’s primary, promised that Ayu would resign.
He, however, said the former vice president failed to fulfil the promise, leading to the current crisis rocking the party.

APC Must Show Sincerity -Ortom

The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has challenged the All Progressive Congress, APC-led federal government to exhibit more sincerity in the conduct of next year’s general election.
The governor stated this Wednesday, September 7th, 2022 at the headquarters of the International Republican Institute (IRI), Washington when he paid a working visit to the institute.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday in Lagos urged Nigerians to believe in the capability of the armed forces to safeguard and bring long-lasting peace and stability to the country.
Declaring open the 12th Nigerian Navy Games, LAGOS 2022, the President assured Nigerians that the armed forces would continue to sustain their operational tempo to contain the security challenges in the country.
He said the security agencies would continue to ensure that all appropriate measures were in place for the safety of Nigerians.
Police Launch Manhunt As Gunmen Kill Three Officers

The Enugu Police Command said it has launched an intensive manhunt to arrest the assailants of three police officers in Enugu State on Wednesday night.
Enugu Police Command spokesman ASP Daniel Ndukwe said the armed men, who operated in a Lexus Jeep, opened fire on a moving patrol vehicle shooting the officers critically.
The men, who were said to have died at the hospital were on patrol duty within New Haven when the incident happened.
FG Requests Turkey To Protect Nigerians

The Nigerian government has requested the Turkish government to ensure the safety of its citizens in Northern Cyprus.
The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) issued on Thursday in reaction to recent developments.
Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Head of Media and Public Relations reacted to a letter purportedly written to the commission by the Turkish Ambassador.
The reported memo by the envoy Hidayet Bayraktar was on the welfare of Nigerians living in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
