A monumental day unfolded as Governor-elect Senator Monday Okpebholo and his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, received their Certificates of Return from INEC at its Abuja headquarters, marking a historic milestone for Edo State. The event was a showcase of unity within the APC, attended by notable leaders such as APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, former Edo State Governor and APC stalwart Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, and Minister of Niger Delta Development Engr. Abubakar Momoh.
The impressive gathering also featured Major General Cecil Esekhaigbe, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Yobe State Governor, Cross River State Governor, and Kaduna State Governor, along with a strong delegation of APC chieftains. The presence of Edo State APC Chairman Jarret Tenebe and influential leaders like Hon. Blessing Agbomhere, Hon. Omosede Igbinedion, Senator Matthew Uroghide, the Director-General of the APC Campaign, and Chief Billy Osawaru further underscored the party’s robust support.
Even current Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu was seen at the ceremony, marking a significant moment in Edo’s political landscape. After receiving their certificates, Okpebholo and Idahosa proceeded to the APC National Headquarters and later presented their certificates to President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa.
