A 14-year-old boy has been taken into custody by the Edo State Police Command for allegedly sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl in the Sobe community, Owan West Local Government Area.According to reports, the suspect lured the minor into his residence and perpetrated the heinous act. The victim’s father initially reported the incident to the police, but later sought to withdraw the complaint after reaching a settlement with the suspect’s family.However, the police have transferred the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation, ensuring that justice is served. The Edo State Police Command spokesperson, SP Moses Yamu, confirmed the incident and assured that the matter will be thoroughly investigated.
