Governor Nyesom Wike was speaking at the commissioning of a project in Rivers state and he decided to talk about the conflict currently rocking the PDP. Governor Wike said he told Nigerians that he will speak at the appropriate time, but now that things are coming out it will be better for him to start revealing them little by little, so that people will know the kind of country they are in and they will be able to ask themselves if they are a part of this country. Wike then revealed what Atiku Abubakar told him when he visited him after the primaries.
Governor Wike said when they finished the convention on Saturday/Sunday Atiku Abubakar came to see him at his house on Monday around 10:30am and Atiku Abubakar told him that he wanted them to work together and he also told him that Iyorchia Ayu, PDP’S chairman, must go. Wike said he asked Atiku Abubakar why the chairman must go and Atiku said that when the presidential candidate comes from the north the chairman of the party should come from the south, and now I am saying implement what you have told me.
What offence have i committed?, He said people are shouting Wike but it doesn’t have to do with Wike instead it has to do with integrity. Wike said he is challenging the presidential candidate of PDP to deny this, he said if he denies what he has just said he will go further to say so many things to Nigerians because enough is enough. Wike said what he is fighting for is that the north cannot take the two major positions of a party but some people don’t understand this.
