Aisha Yesufu Blasts Those Dragging Queen Elizabeth, Charges Them To Focus On The Present

Aisha Yesufu, a well-known human rights activist and co-chair of the Bring Back Our Girls campaign, has turned to her official Twitter account to criticize individuals who have been dragging the late Queen Elizabeth II because of her role in the colonialism of Nigeria. She said she advised those dragging the late Queen of England to concentrate on the crimes occurring before their very eyes rather than those that had occurred before they were even born.
Remember that the passing of Queen Elizabeth II of England, who many regarded as one of the Colonial Masters who exploited numerous African Countries, was met with a number of contradictory reactions? African notables have reacted angrily to the Queen’s passing, recalling the hardships their nation endured under colonialism.
However, while reacting to this, Aisha Yesufu said, “History is important so also is letting go. Some people choose not to let go and it is a choice they have a right to. I will rather focus on the atrocities happening before my eyes than the ones that happened before I was. It doesn’t make you superior nor me superior!”
