APC New Media Directorate Demands Immediate Action from INEC and IGP over PDP Agent’s Illegal Collection of Voters’ Cards

The APC New Media Directorate has uncovered a disturbing development involving a prominent PDP agent and calls on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to take immediate action. A viral post circulating online reveals that a former Edo State Commissioner for Oil and Gas, known as Madam Megom from Ovia, was caught unlawfully collecting INEC voters’ cards from electorates in exchange for cash. In a damning photograph, she is seen wearing a crested facecap bearing the name of the PDP governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo, while committing this despicable act.

This flagrant violation of the electoral process raises a critical question: When did PDP agents become de facto staff of INEC? We demand that INEC takes swift and decisive action to retrieve the voters’ cards illegally obtained by Madam Megom and initiate prosecution without delay. Electoral malpractice of this nature must be met with the full force of the law. We also urge the IGP to arrest this individual and ensure she is brought to justice, preventing her actions from undermining the integrity of the electoral process.

Moreover, we call on the good people of Edo State to recognize how the PDP, under the failed leadership of Governor Obaseki, is attempting to subvert our democracy. A government that has failed to deliver on even the most basic dividends of democracy—such as job creation, infrastructural development, and essential public services—now seeks to extend its tenure through electoral fraud. The electorate must reject Asue Ighodalo and the PDP’s desperate and underhanded tactics, which aim to mortgage the future of Edo State for mere pittance.

The APC remains resolute in our commitment to a free, fair, and transparent election that reflects the genuine will of the people. We will not tolerate any actions designed to compromise this process. We call on all well-meaning citizens to stay vigilant and stand firm against any attempt by the PDP to derail our democracy.
