Mr. Kolapo Kola-Daisi, the Oyo South Senatorial candidate for Accord Party has urged the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration to divert the resources of the country Into basic sectors such as education and health.
He disclosed this during an interactive session recently organized by the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ), Oyo State Council. He explained that lot of resources were wasted in the country and the Federal government could best resolve the persistent strike action of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) by blocking this wastage of resources.
In summary, he said: “We need to find a lasting solution to the problems of ASUU. If they settle them now, the problem will still persist. We need to redirect the resources of this country, look at our exchange rate. As a government, it is high time we look at the way and manner of allocating our resources”.
