British Prime Minister Survives A No-Confidence Vote By Parliament, Continues As Premier.
By Ebor Cletus Ralph Jr.
It is a done deal as British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, narrowly survived a vote of no confidence by Conservative Party lawmakers Monday evening, despite deep disgust at Downing Street and broad discontent with his leadership, which a former ally branded a “charade.”
This result means that, Prime Minister Johnson has survived the confidence vote brought by his own party.
The victory comes despite a substantial rebellion by his own members of parliament.
