Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey made his Champions League debut on Wednesday in Ajax’s complete 4-0 defeat of his former club at the Johan Cruijff Field in Amsterdam.
Bassey in reaction to his performance in the game, took to his verified Twitter account to upload photos of his Champions League debut for Ajax in their group game against Rangers.
In the meantime, Nigerian protector Bassey demonstrated his class during the whole game with help to show for his total presentation.
Bassey who played in the center back position close by Jurrie Lumber, with the pair of Daley Blind and Devyne Rensch on the left and right sides, did a good work to ensure that his side went home with a clean sheet maintaining their 4-0 lead in the game.
The young defender indeed played a good role in the game, not just in his guarded occupation for his club but he was likewise engaged with their assaults. Looking back to his first class performance in the game is indeed ideal for the player.
