In part because of a goal and an assist from Samuel Chukwueze, Villarreal defeated Polish team Lech Poznan 4-3 in their UEFA Europa League game on Thursday night.
In the 32nd minute, Chukwueze scored the game’s opening goal after being assisted by Johan Monica.
The winger assisted Alex Baena in setting up the third goal five minutes after halftime.
Frank Coquelin, a former Arsenal player, scored one of Baena’s two goals.
Chukwueze has one goal this season in five appearances for the Yellow Submarine across all competitions.
Yeremy Pino has been relegated to a bench role this season in particular due to his performance, but the Nigerian international hopes the coach will offer him more opportunities in light of his performance tonight. In the Playwe’s next La-Liga match, Villarreal is scheduled to play.
The following game will pit Unai Emery’s squad against Hapoel Be’er Sheva as the Spaniard will be hoping to qualify from the group stages earlier.
