Dr. Doyin Okupe Throws In The Towel As The DG, Labour Party presidential Campaigns Council, Citing Personal Legal Battle.

Dr. Doyin Okupe, the Director General of the Labour Party’s Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), has resigned.
Okupe cited his recent legal battle as reasons for his decision in a letter to Labour Party (LP) Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi.
The PCC DG stated in the letter that “he has chosen to step aside,” and advised that, the LP candidate appoint “a new campaign DG who can continue the assignment with zero distractions.”
Recall that on Monday, Justice Ijeoma Ojuwku of the Federal High Court in Abuja, sentenced the former Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Public Affairs to two years in prison for accepting cash transactions exceeding the N5 million limit set by the Money Laundering Act (MLA).
