EDO NORTH FALLS TO APC: Lawani declares Total Victory
Alhaji Abdul-Ganiyu Lawani, Director-General of the APC Governorship Election Campaign Council in Edo North Senatorial District, has confidently asserted that the party has established a stronghold in the region ahead of the September 21 polls.
Addressing journalists at his country home in Warrake on Sunday evening, the APC’s apex leader in Owan East Local Government Area stated, “The APC has consistently emerged victorious in Edo North, and as the campaign Director-General, I can affirm that we have now fully secured the region, decisively defeating the PDP across all six local governments.”
Lawani emphasized, “The APC dominates the political landscape in Edo North, and this time, the PDP will not secure even a handful of votes. I assure you, our victory is certain.”
Alhaji Abdul-Ganiyu Lawani, two-time Campaign Council Director-General for Edo North, revealed that the APC has strategically dismantled the PDP’s presence in the region.
He stated that virtually all influential leaders and supporters of the PDP have defected to the APC. “Take a closer look at Edo North,” Lawani challenged. “Show me any purpose-driven politician, and I’ll confirm they’re now an APC member.”
He emphasized, “The region’s strategic stakeholders have joined the APC, including those who opposed us in the last presidential and National Assembly elections. They’re now frontline leaders fighting against bad governance in Edo State.”
Lawani praised Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, describing him as a “tireless campaigner” shuttling between Abuja and Edo State daily to promote the APC’s cause.
Lawani also chided Governor Godwin Obaseki, advising him to save the Edo people from the consequences of deploying Federal Might to subvert the election and the will of the people in favor of the APC.
He said, “Like our father Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has said, this is not the first time APC has engaged PDP while holding the Federal machinery, and Obaseki has always won. Federal Might is never the problem; the truth is Governor Obaseki has mismanaged his fortune, and anyone who mismanages his own fortune must pay for it.
