The Director of Media and Communications for Tinubu Campaign Organisation, Bayo Onanuga, has called on some of the presidential aspirants nursing grudges against the candidate of the All Progressives Congress to borrow a leaf from the actions of former co-aspirants, Tein Jack-Rich and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State.
Onanuga noted that both politicians showed exemplary leadership by donating their campaign offices in favour of Tinubu to aid his campaign without being prompted.
The former managing director of News Agency of Nigeria was reacting to the controversy surrounding an aborted parley with former presidential aspirants of the APC.
He said, “For instance, this was the office of Jackrich, one of the presidential aspirants, who donated his 27 state offices for the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Council.
“Governor Yahaya Bello also gave his office in Wuse for the campaign. A lot of them have donated their offices in support of the presidential candidate.”
Among those who failed to turn up for last Wednesday’s aborted strategy meeting were Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; former Science and Technology Minister, Ogbonnaya Onu; former Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba and former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio.
Five serving governors, namely Yahaya Bello (Kogi), Dave Umahi (Ebonyi), Abubakar Badaru (Jigawa), Ben Ayade (Cross River) and Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti) were also expected.
