Graham Potter Might Not Find The Top Job At Chelsea Very Easy
[ad_1]
Chelsea have confirmed the appointment of Graham Potter as the new Head Coach. The Blues made it known on Thursday afternoon on their official website that they have gave Graham Potter a 5-year contract at Chelsea.
The Englishman, if successful at Chelsea, is in line to be the first England International to win the Premier League title but, the task ahead of him is not an easy one. He did managed to help Brighton and Hove Albion to finish on their best ever position on the Premier League table last season but managing at a mid table Club and a top club like Chelsea is an entire ballgame.
Graham Potter is a good Manager but he’s not a World Class Manager and he’s definitely not yet at the elite level. One must admit that firing Thomas Tuchel and then replacing the German Gaffer with Graham Potter is a step down for Chelsea.
Of course, it easier to claim that if he had more resources that a big Premier League club like Chelsea can offer, Graham Potter can do better but, it’s not always like that. Manchester United tried that with David Moyes while Tottenham Hotspurs tried it with Nuno Santos, both resulted in failure.
Graham Potter has no experience in the UEFA Champions League, he has never Played in the European tournament before, and It’s not just that. He has no experience about managing big name Players.
Chelsea is a big Club with big Players like Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, Raheem Sterling, N’Golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovavic among others who have won more titles than Graham Potter can ever imagine.
