‘I think my son Michael has fulfilled his mission in life’ – Michael Jackson’s Mom, In Her Book.

“I don’t think I could ask for anything more in life than a son like Michael.
Michael was an easygoing person. I did not have to teach my son to be humble, it came naturally to him.

I remember that when he was a young boy, I told him that live performances were a job and that it should not make him better than another. It may be that my message echoed, but I have often been surprised by its modesty.

Michael lived an extraordinary life and was very grateful to be able to do exactly what he loved. But both of us, my son and I, agreed that this glory does not come without a price to pay. It was a blessing and a curse.

I cannot speculate on what could have been done differently, if we could relive our life. Having a son like Michael is all I would ask.

Regardless of what people think, Michael was an exceptional person, as a son and as a father. A person whose work was based on good intentions and on the hope of being an unprecedented example of love and humanity. The whole world knew him, but people did not know him.

My son knew until the end that the fans were behind him. In return, he gave the world love, talent, hope and inspiration through his music. I think Michael did not want his life to be different. The loss of my son is an immense pain on which I cannot put any words.

I share my stories with Michael’s kids and with his fans to let them know how important they are to him, I know he would have liked it.

Fifty years old, it’s too young to die. Despite the tribulations he had to face, I believe he still managed to fill his life with joy as he deserved. I think my son Michael has fulfilled his mission in life”.
