A former House of Representative member, Patrick Obahiagbon while featuring on Arise TV‘s Morning Show and asked to score the present APC government on performance said that the government has performed credibly well in the fight against corruption and the provision of infrastructure facilities across the country.
Obahiagbon further said he has a 67 pages book that contains the achievements of President Buhari-led administration across Nigeria. Although he admitted that the government has failed in the economy and insecurity but said it has prosecuted a lot of high-profile corruption cases against government officials. He also tied the problem of Nigeria’s economy to global recession due to COVID-19 and the lingering Russia-Ukraine war and that of the insecurity to being inherited from the past government. Quoting Obahiagbon, he said,
“Corruption that we saw in the previous government was too much. Corruption was walking on the streets of Abuja. Corruption was sleeping in the rooms of Hilton, where I’m speaking from.”
