Just In: 2023 Presidency: “You can’t do things anyhow and expect us to be happy” – Gov. Samuel Ortom.

Gov. Samuel Ortom of Benue State has expressed his displeasure regarding the way Governor Nyesom Wike, of Rivers State, was treated by the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) after the primaries. He feels that Nyesom Wike was cheated and that the party needs to go and appeal to him.
He made this statement in an interview with Arise News, a TV channel. When questioned if he would support Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, he answered by saying he would do so only in the direction of the Almighty God.
According to him, Governor Nyesom Wike brought him back to the Peoples Democratic Party in 2015 when he was treated unjustly and he played a pivotal role in keeping the party strong. He believes that Governor Nyesom Wike should have been picked as a running mate to Atiku Abubakar since he came second in the party primaries.
He said; “If Atiku Abubakar was not going to honour the decision of the committee, he should have called Nyesom Wike earlier and informed him. He didn’t do that. You can’t do things anyhow and expect us to be happy”, he concluded.
