Just In: Labour Party National Chairman, Barr. Julius Abure Has Been Kidnapped In Benin City.

Barrister Julius Abure, the national chairman of Labour Party has been kidnapped in Benin City. The incident which took place about thirty minutes ago, happened in one of the hotels located in GRA area of the city. And it was carried out by some fierce looking armed men scantily dressed in police uniform.
The reason behind the adoption is however, yet unknown. The kidnapping which took place while the national chairman was in his hotel room, lasted for about 15 minutes. In the course of the exercise, his security details were not only demobilized, they were as well, brutalized.
Several gun shots were fired into air to signal how serious the assignment was. Though the remote cause of the incident is unknown, it is however speculated that, it may not be unconnected with the ongoing party governorship primaries, scheduled to take place within the week, to produce an aspirant for the party.
