NPC hopes for more Paralympics medals

[ad_1]

Despite the current medal drought at the ongoing Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, the president of the Paralympics Committee Nigeria, Sunday Odebode, remains confident in Team Nigeria’s potential for more medals.

Following the exit of seven out of eight table tennis players, Odebode maintained that the team’s journey is far from over.

He also celebrated Eniola Bolaji’s historic achievement as the first African to win a medal in the para-badminton event at the Paralympic Games, which he believes will inspire further success.

“Bolaji’s bronze medal has opened the floodgates for Team Nigeria. With several athletes in various finals and the para-powerlifting events about to commence, I am optimistic that more medals will start rolling in from athletics and powerlifting,” Odebode said.
