Pat Utomi Reacts To Reports That Peter Obi Asked Supporters To Charge Fees For US Meetings.

A Labour Party Chieftain, Prof Pat Utomi, has distanced himself and the Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi, from the controversial sale of tickets in the United States, to support Mr Peter Obi, in the 2023 presidential election.

While speaking, Prof Utomi made it known that they were just invited to an event, stating that the money for tickets may be a way to cater for attendees breakfast or dinner but they definitely have no hand in it. He further explained that in American tradition, if some people will give u breakfast or dinner, they may want to charge people that come to eat.

He went on and explained that they were only invited by Nigerian groups, and they attended. Mr Utomi further made it known that he doesn’t think that attending the event is an issue.

It was speculated few days ago that those who attended Peter Obi’s meeting in the United States were charged certain amount of money. According to the speculation, the Atlanta version of the meeting costs $250, while the VIP and the Executive tickets cost $1,000 and $5,000 respectively, Premium Times reported.

Speaking further, Mr Utomi reminded Nigerians how Diaspora helped the historic change in Japan, India and other countries in the world, making it known that Nigerians in Diaspora are involved in Peter Obi’s mission.
