After more than a week of being away from the country, the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is set to return to Nigeria.
Peter Obi left the country about eight days ago en route to the United States, but disclosed that he would be making a stop in Germany to meet with the Nigerians resident there. He also met with the Nigerian community in Canada, Rome, Toronto, Los Angeles, Houston, Charlotte, Washington, DC, Atlanta and New York, where he spoke to them about his 2023 presidential ambition, and the plans he has for the country and the Nigerians in Diaspora if he wins the forthcoming election.
In the recent post he made on his verified Twitter handle, the former Anambra State announced that he is set to return to Nigeria, and expressed his gratitude to the Nigerians in Diaspora for hosting him.
He said – “As I return home after eight days on the road, I do so with a renewed sense of purpose and conviction. My take away is that a united, secure and productive Nigeria, which is our collective dream is possible. It is a dream we intend to bring to actualization. Thank you all for the quality time; expressed confidence and suggestions. Thank you for believing that a new Nigeria is possible.”
