Robert Lewandowski sets his sights on Inter Milan
Robert Lewandowski is 34, but he is not tired. He does not need adaptation periods. He has 12 goals in nine games, nine in La Liga, where he’s the competition’s top goalscorer. He’s scored more than the rest of the team – 11 – in the start of the season.
The Pole netted against Mallorca and has scored in six weeks running. Per MisterChip, Van Nistelrooy scored in seven consecutive weeks in 2006-07, while Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink did in six in 1999-2000, and Rivaldo did the same in 1996-97, and Ronaldo did in 10 in the same year.
Lewandowski is now setting his sights on Inter in Europe. He has netted 89 goals in that competition, behind only Cristiano (140), Messi (126), and ahead of Benzema (86).
The Pole, who was the top scorer in the Champions League in 19-20 with 15 goals, has managed to reach double figures in three more editions – 12-13 with Dortmund (10), 14-15 with Bayern (12) and last season (13).
