A former spokesperson for the Labour Party’s presidential campaign council in the 2023 election, Kenneth Okonkwo, has urged President Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, and Peter Obi to refrain from running for office in the 2027 elections.
In an interview on Wednesday, Okonkwo stressed the importance of introducing fresh faces into Nigerian politics, asserting that the current leaders have let the nation down.
He also criticized opposition lawmakers for their lack of cooperation and failure to forge alliances, which he believes resulted in missed opportunities to secure key positions such as the speaker and deputy speaker of the House of Representatives. READ MORE
