Tinubu Appoints Gbenga Alade as New CEO of AMCON, Unveils Fresh Management Team”
- President Bola Tinubu has greenlit a fresh management lineup for the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), with MrGbenga Alade stepping in as the Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Ahmed Kuru, who took office in August 2015. Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, unveiled the appointments in a statement released on Thursday.
Additionally, Tinubu appointed three executive directors – Aminu Ismail, Adeshola Lamidi, and Lucky Adaghe – pending confirmation by the Nigerian Senate. Ngelale emphasized the President’s expectation for unwavering dedication, professionalism, and diligence from the new appointees to bolster AMCON’s efficiency, transparency, and alignment with his agenda to cleanse the nation’s financial system, maximize value, and boost investor confidence in the Nigerian economy.
