Makinde Opens Up On Attending Obi’s Rally.
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has refuted reports of attending a Labour Party, LP, presidential rally in Ibadan, the State capital.
Makinde described the report as false and misleading. Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Taiwo Adisa, Makinde said he was not in the State when the event happened.

Adisa said the report was aimed at confusing the people. He said the governor was on leave and was nowhere near the State during the rally.
Adisa said Makinde would not accept falsehood from Obi’s supporters, adding that any attempt to drag the governor’s reputation would not be accepted.
Bandits Kidnap 4 Persons In Katsina
Bandits attacked a low cost project quarters at Dutsen Reme, Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State on Friday and kidnapped four persons.
The abduction occurred at about 10pm while it was raining.
A source from Dutsen Reme told DAILY POST that the terrorists carried out their illicit act unchallenged. He added that Bishir Shitu Sallau, a staff of High Court Funtua and one Safiyanu, a student of College of Education in Abuja were abducted by the bandits.

According to him, those abducted had already hidden their wives in a restroom, adding that “the husbands were taken away by the bandits when they could not see their wives, the bandits had asked of their wives.”
Lagos Primary, Secondary Schools Resume Monday
The Lagos State Ministry of Education has mandated all nursery, primary and secondary schools in the state to resume tomorrow (Monday) for the 2022/2023 academic session.
The Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, made this announcement in a circular issued by the Director-General, Office of Education Quality Assurance, Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, on Saturday.

2023: We Are Smarter, Won’t Insult Rival Parties During Campaign-Tinubu
Ahead of the official commencement of political campaigns, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, has said that he will not exchange insults with other political parties.
Tinubu gave the assurance during his meeting with APC’s Northern State lawmakers in Abuja on Saturday.

He explained that the APC campaign team is smarter, brilliant, and courageous, hence won’t engage in the exchange of insults.

Kano Govt Released N1 Billion For Girls’ Education Projects-Official
The Kano State Government has so far released more than N1.02 billion for girls’ education related projects in its 2022 budget.
Co-chair, Girl Education Partnership, Mairo Bello, made this known in Kano on Saturday at the dissemination of the state 2022 girl education budget performance.
The dissemination was supported by Partnership to Engage, Reform and Learn, a governance programme of the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.

Ms Bello explained that while N868.6 million was released for girls’ specific budget lines, N155.5 million were released for both boys and girls related education projects.
