“LG Chairman Plans to Rename Prominent Liverpool Road in Honor of Seyi Tinubu”

The Oshodi-Isolo Local Government plans to rename Liverpool Road in Oshodi-Isolo in honor of Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu. According to the council chairman, Kehinde Oloyede, the decision recognizes Seyi Tinubu’s impactful contributions to youth empowerment and community development.

In a statement shared on the local government’s official X handle by his media aide, Oloyede announced that preparations are underway for the road’s renaming. He described Liverpool Road as a key route linking the Oshodi/Apapa Expressway and the international airport, emphasizing its strategic importance.

A media aide to the chairman confirmed that the road would soon be commissioned and officially renamed, with the date for the ceremony to be announced later.

Oloyede highlighted the road’s troubled past, explaining that it was once plagued by criminal activities, making it unsafe at all hours. However, since assuming office, his administration has successfully cleared out criminal elements and overseen the reconstruction of the road. Today, the road stands as a safe and functional route for residents and travelers alike, symbolizing the positive transformation achieved under his leadership.
