Tax Reform Bills: Nigerian Comedian Seyi Law Faces Backlash Over Remarks

Nigerian comedian Oluwaseyitan Lawrence Aletile, popularly known as Seyi Law, has once again sparked controversy on social media with his bold remarks about the contentious Tax Reform Bills.

His comments not only ignited widespread debate but also escalated into a heated exchange with a netizen, Ekene, on X (formerly Twitter).

Seyi Law openly criticized Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State for his opposition to the Tax Reform Bills. Zulum had voiced concerns that the reforms would disproportionately favor Lagos and Rivers states while placing the northern region at a disadvantage.

Dismissing Zulum’s stance, Seyi Law accused the governor of attempting to obstruct progress in the South-West.He further remarked that the academic credentials of those defending their elites, including Zulum, were essentially worthless.
